GIFT CARD USAGE & REDEMPTION:
- User can login to “www.amazon.in” in order to redeem
the gift card. After login, user needs to visit Amazon Pay, then, under “Gift Cards & Vouchers” section,
click on ‘Add a Gift Card’. Then enter the gift card code and click ‘Add gift card to balance’. The gift
card amount will be added to Amazon Pay wallet balance.
- Alternatively, user can directly apply the gift card at the time of purchase under payment section to
avail the card amount.
- The validity of Gift Card/Voucher shall be as per the Validity date specified in the Saved Vouchers list, corresponding to each voucher.
- Amazon Pay Gift Cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible products and services through
www.amazon.in.
- The purchase is deducted from the redeemer's Gift Card balance.
- Any unused Gift Card balance will remain associated with the redeemer's Amazon.in account for 1 year as
per gift card validity.
- If a purchase exceeds the redeemer's Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid with by credit
card, net banking or debit card. No additional fees or charges apply to Gift Cards.
Taxability - As per the RBI Master Circular, a gift card is a payment instrument under the Payment &
Settlement Act 2007.
There is no GST/TDS applicable on Gift Cards.
GST is applicable on the date of purchase of any product. Since the goods a customer purchases on Amazon.in
have different tax slabs applied to them, total tax cannot be calculated at the initial transaction stage
when the gift card is issued. Therefore, no GST is applied to Amazon Gift Cards. With reference to the HSN
Code, there is currently no code defined by the Government of India for gift cards/vouchers.
LIMITATIONS:
The following limitations apply to Amazon Pay gift cards. QwikCilver may determine other limitations
depending on India Payment Laws and RBI Master Circular.
- Gift cards, including any unused gift card balance are valid for 1 year from the date of activation
(card validity and extension is covered in more detail below)
- Gift cards may only be purchased in denominations ranging from ₹10-10,000
- Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase Amazon Pay Gift Cards
- Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash
- Unused Gift Card balances associated with an Amazon.in account may not be transferred to another
Amazon.in account
- No interest will be payable by QwikCilver on any Gift Card or Gift Card balance
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION:
Limitation of Liability - Neither QwikCilver nor Amazon can make any warranties, expressed or implied,
with respect to Amazon Pay Gift cards, including without limitation, any express or implied warranty of
merchantability or fitness for particular purpose.
QwikCilver reserves the right to change these Gift Card terms and conditions from time to time in its
discretion and without prior notice to you. All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted
by law.
